I am assuming this is a Wasp. Can you please tell me what kind? Any and all help is Appreciated!

P.S. Sorry for posting so many pics on one night.

You may want to discard this one now that you know the species. We have many images of this one. But, then, again this is the only one for NY, we may want to keep it a little longer.

Ammophila
in the genus Ammophila, the only Ammophila in my area with the reddish wings is A. pictipennis, but i am not sure what you have in the fair city of new york... so, perhaps Ammophila pictipennis.
