Carophilus sp. - Carpophilus
Organ Mountains foothills, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, USA

Size: about 4 mm
Taken with banana-baited pitfall trap. This was the only nitidulid I encountered on my New Mexico trip. Some genera are frequent visitors to UV and MV lights at home in New Hampshire, but apparently not in New Mexico.
