if it was near water
I'd say Semiardistomis viridis.

 
Dyschirius sp. which was post
Dyschirius sp. which was posted on one of the other photos seems more likely based on the size and shape of this beetle. I've also seen beetles similar to the one you mentioned. There is a stream nearby.

The shape seems more like Dyschirius. Not sure. I'm sure no beetle expert. The ones I've seen of Semiardistomis viridis were less than a foot away from the stream in the sandy area, if thats where this one was found.

 
stream not that nearby
The stream is further away, across a road and on the other side of our neighbor's yard. It is close enough that I do get quite a few water beetles showing up on our deck attracted to lights.
