Small Milkweed Bug? - Boisea trivittata

Small Milkweed Bug? - Boisea trivittata
Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, USA
October 2, 2006
Size: about 1/3 inch
Can anyone back me up on this? I think it may be a small milkweed bug, but im not sure... thanks

Most definitely a Box Elder
Though I'm not anywhere near being an expert, I would say there's no doubt that this is a Box Elder. :> Note the difference in pattern.

(Neither of these images belong to me- I just found them through Google while researching.)

^-^ Thanks for sharing!

Try this: red shouldered bug

Yours does look like a milkweed bug, but has what I'd call a thinner neck. (By now, you can see I'm no expert. And I'm not at all sure this is right. Also, note that box elder bugs are similar.)

ok..
yea... i thought it looked familiar... these things are all over my school too... lol... I'm used to seeing the nymphs though... lol... as for you and expert status... it works well enough for me...:D thanks!!
