Huge grasshopper-bird grasshopper? - Schistocerca lineata - Female
New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas, USA

Size: 3"+ including wings.
I came across this huge and beautifully colored grasshopper at work, under the lights. I am pretty sure it's a bird grasshopper but would love to know which species. I have seen a picture of this species in one of my field guides (which I currently do not have access to), but do not remember the name of the species. I apologize for the not so great quality as I just had my phone with me. Any help would be appreciated!

actually a form of Schistocerca lineata
