Eremnophila aureonotata? - Eremnophila aureonotata - male - female

Eremnophila aureonotata? - Eremnophila aureonotata - Male Female
Herndon, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
September 30, 2006
... And here I thought I'd shot something special, but no; I see these wasps are just as frisky as rabbits! Do I have the ID right on these? The female seemed not to even notice the male attached to her as she buzzed all over these goldenrod flowers, her underside getting a nice coating of yellow pollen all over.
