Prionus pocularis
I think this is Prionus pocularis based on the big eyes and brown color. Also the elytra appear to be smoother in texture than you see with laticollis. This is a good find. In my opinion popularis is predominantly a coastal plain species that is quite rare north of the Delmarva peninsula. But I keep waiting for someone to post a record from the sandy pine forests of southrn NJ or maybe Long Island. There have been many such postings of NE "pocuralis" on BugGuide but they've all turned out to be misidentified (usually light brown teneral) specimens of laticollis. There is one current NJ posting of pocularis but that is wrong as well. But I think yours is the real deal!
