Adult male - Eratigena agrestis - male

Adult male - Eratigena agrestis - Male
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
July 28, 2013
Size: ~12mm body length
Found in the same shed as this spider. First adult male T. agrestis I've seen this year.

T. agrestis (especially males) behave uniquely when I'm photographing them. When they want to run, they don't sprint off at top speed for a few seconds and then burn out like T. domestica/T. gigantea. Instead, they pace themselves and keep going at a slower pace for over a minute.

I am putting together a guide book for some students who do a yearly camping trip in the Black Hills for spiders that are common in our area. I would like to ask your permission to use your photo.
