Huge spider in Vancouver, BC - Eratigena duellica
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
August 2, 2013
Size: ~4"
Found in our basement, behind a storage container, on the wall. Is this spider's bite harmful? We have two little kids, so we're a little concerned...

Judging by the size, I would suggest this to be something like tegenaria gigantea.
The spider will not harm your children in any way.
