Yes, you are correct
Some males, including yours, have a white band on the 1st "abdominal segment"

What I really need...
...is one anatomy diagram for each order that can be printed out for reference, rather than having to go back and search all the time. My memory is no longer swift and learning at my age (65) is very challenging, especially with all the new (to me) terminology. For someone who has no scientific background, it's worse than being in kindergarten.

A suggestion...the glossary article is a good start, when completed it could have a tab of it's own in the guide and include diagrams. This may be a very big project, but extremely helpful to those of us new to the world of entomology and without written references. :)

This is a wonderful site and all the effort that the editors are contributing to educate those of us who want to learn is very much appreciated, thanks!
