Brown Stink Bug - Podisus serieventris

Brown Stink Bug - Podisus serieventris
Graves Creek, Sanders County, Montana, USA
August 22, 2006
Euschistus or Podisus? My guide book shows Podisus having both spined shoulders and rounded ones. (Most are spined, but Podisus serieventris is rounded)and in Euschistus there are some spined shouldered ones like Euschistus variolarius.

because . . .
there is a dark band in the apical membrane of the wings, it has to be Podisus (compare genus info page).
To me it seems, that there might be some Podisus on the Euschistus page - but someone else will have to fix them up.
