Richard, keep an eye out for Nolima too!!
Nolima is another mantispid genus (actually in another subfamily!) which occurs in your area...one species was described from the Pinal Mountains, and another from Peppersauce Canyon in the Santa Catalina Mountains. See post below:



Nolima lack the mottled wing pattern characteristic of Plega, and thus look more like Dicromantispa sayi or Leptomantispa pulchella. Nolima can be distinguished most easily by its semi-circular pterostigma.

So far, Margarethe's post above is the only Nolima on BugGuide. It would be great to get more images to better document the genus (e.g. maybe both AZ species on BG?).
