When we saw the first individual like this, we identified it as a female Alkali Bluet (E. clausum), mainly due to the solid blue segment 8 of its abdomen, and its location (the southeast corner of Prince Albert National Park, not too far from some alkaline springs). But then I started seeing lots and lots of them in other locations, and got suspicious. So I netted males near these females, and they all had the cerci of E. boreale...
