Looks like a Jumping Spider
Salticidae

Thanks
I thought it was just a rather shy and fat weevil when I saw it. It was not in the mood to let me get some good shots, but when I went inside and viewed the photos, it didn't look like an insect at all (too many legs!) It seems jumping spider have great vision and are skilled at just staying out of my range, always putting a plant or at least a leaf between me and it.
