Sycamore Tussock Cat with Wasp Parasites
Radford, Virginia, USA
August 12, 2013
This is a Sycamore Tussock Caterpillar and I think that it has wasp parasites on it. Can someone please ID the parasites?

Microgastrinae…
These are braconid wasp parasites in this group. Halysidota members are attacked by Cotesia.

See reference here.

Ah, yes,
I thought that I had seen these before but could not find them in my files. Thanks, Ross, for the detailed info.
