Found crawling on Family member. Would like to know if it is something to worry about. It is winged and wings tuck under mid section.

Lipoptena cervi
Deer Louse Fly. It's from my German Insect guide, but these are cosmopolitan. And it fits that you encountered it in the forest

Louse Fly?
That's my best guess....

...
Looks like it to me as well.
Did you encounter any livestock recently?

Louse fly
Not around live stock but they was out in the woods and upon return found it on them. Around here we always check for ticks upon return from woods. Never had one of these on us though.

Louse fly?
You may be right. I did a google search on your suggestion and it sure does look like it. Don't know if there is anything to worry about though after finding it on a family member. Thanks.
