Male Argiope aurantia? - Argiope aurantia - male

Male Argiope aurantia? - Argiope aurantia - Male
Seminole, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA
August 15, 2013
Found this male spider inside. Relocated him outside to release and photograph him. I have a large female Black and Yellow spider on my porch so I think this is a male. I think he wasn't in too good of health, missing a leg and walked drunkenly.

So is this a male Argiope aurantia, and is it useful to the guide at all? I have a mating behavior photo from last year in the guide for August. No strictly male photos however for Oklahoma, if I'm not mistaken. Please feel free to frass with ID. Thank you.

Moved
Moved from Spiders. Yes, I think these are images of a dehydrated male. He looks a little odd because of that, which actually makes the images valuable in showing what a male looks like when dehydrated. You can go into these images and uncheck representative since we don't really want the odd ones to show up as representative images.

Can I do that?
I'm not aware of an area that I can check or uncheck anything... Thanks for the ID!

Yes
you just click the 'edit' under your image and then you can uncheck the 'representative' box.

Just tried...
I only have check boxes for Adult, immature, male and female. Am I missing it? Where is the checkbox on the form? Sorry for the confusion! Is it maybe an editor only option?
