Saskatchewan Dorcas - Lycaena dorcas

This guy was photographed in a small boggy area near Missinipe/Otter Lake, but we saw the species in several other places from Boundary Bog (in Prince Albert National Park) northwards. All were in bog habitat except once when I found them nectaring on an as-yet unidentified but very popular flower (along with several other butterfly species) in a woodland gap. I'm guessing that the subspecies is either L.d. dorcas or L.d. florus, based on range, no idea how to separate the two...
