Ichneumonidae? - Ammophila

Ichneumonidae? - Ammophila
South Surrey, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, Canada
August 13, 2013
Size: about 20 to 25 mm
Specimen was on fennel flowers. I am not sure if this is an ichneumonidae or wasp. There was no ovipositor. The middle portion of the abdomen was orangy red. Sorry for the poor picture quality, but you know these models just won't cooporate and these were the only two photos I was able to take before it flew off forever more!
