Xyleborinus octiesdentatus

Xyleborinus octiesdentatus

Size: 2.5mm
Looks like the first record of this species on BugGuide, and possibly a range extension into MS? I've never caught them until this year.

Xyleborinus octiesdentatus in MS
ID is correct and it's no surprise to see this in MS. It was already recorded from LA and AL so it was only a matter of time. These newly introduced species seem to spread pretty quickly through eastern North America.
