Skimming Bluet? - Argia alberta - male

Skimming Bluet? - Argia alberta - Male
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA
August 3, 2013
I cannot find many damselflies with this combination of blue and green, but the range map does not match the Skimming Bluet.

Expert ID - Argia alberta (male)
I sent your image to Dennis Paulson (1) who identified it as Argia alberta.

Not a bluet
Paiute Dancer, Argia alberta.

Agree with your ID - Argia alberta
I believe that your ID is correct since A. sedula can be ruled out by range.

Note the comment from Dennis Paulson.
There is apparently a problem in separating male A. alberta and A. sedula.

Don't think it's a Skimming
Both the shoulder stripe and S2 look wrong for that species.
