Phidippus comatus female from pear trap. - Phidippus comatus -
Parlier, Fresno County, California, USA August 23, 2013
Caught in a trap in Asian pears. P. comatus is widespread in Fresno County but less common than P. johnsoni and P. audax. I have seen adults starting in mid-July. They overwinter, and lay eggs in about April.
