disagreement on species
...so I've moved this image from Festive Midget to the genus page, where everyone agrees.

9681 - Elaphria festivoides complex
... according to James Adams, to whom I sent the photo. It could be just an unusual variation of E. festivoides or possibly an undescribed entity within a complex needing further research and elucidation.

looks closer to E. chalcedonia to me
...after comparing several photos of both species on the web.

In chalcedonia and the above photo, the reniform spot is fairly small and more-or-less flattened/straight, the orbicular spot is more elongate/oblong, and there is blackish shading inside the AM line next to the inner margin.
- photos of Elaphria chalcedonia: c1, c2, c3, c4, c5, c6

In the festivoides complex (which includes E. alapallida), the reniform spot is large and more curved/U-shaped, the orbicular spot is more rounded/oval/circular, and there is little or no blackish shading inside the AM line next to the inner margin.

E. chalcedonia
I agree with Robin. In addition to characters mentioned by Robin: in species of the E. festivoides complex, the light apical spot of forewing is much closer to the postmedial line than in E. chalcedonia and sometimes almost touches it. The distance between pm line and the apical spot is equal or less than height of the apical spot in E. festivoides complex and about two times longer than height of the apical spot in E. chalcedonia.
