Salt Marsh Moth - Estigmene acrea

Salt Marsh Moth - Estigmene acrea
South Georgia, Ware County, Georgia, USA
October 13, 2006
Size: 2 cm.
This fat cat is feasting on trumpet vine leaves.

Looks like it could be
Estigmene acrea - Salt Marsh Moth, images in the guide here. But lets wait to see what Hannah thinks.

I'll second that ID
based on the white spiracles and longer hairs front and back, especially back.(1) It matches others we have in that section, at least.

Thank you for your time Hanna
