ants - Myrmica rubra
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

On Willow species. The aphids are Chaitophorus genus I think. I would like to know what the ants are if possible. Thank you.

Myrmica sp. - workers
Most likely Myrmica rubra, the "European Fire Ant". Their alert and agressive attitude matches well with this nasty species, always ready to bite and sting.
