lol
kinky little buggers, aren't they?

From Odonata Central
See Comanche Dancer here and Coppery Dancer here.

Both right
Actually, I got an email from John Abbot, who confirmed what both you and Ben said; Coppery and Comanche dancers. I don't guess I can tag these to a particular spps. page since it has both. Thanks for the ID's guys. The Coppery is a new one to add to my list.

two species
Yeah, not sure how it should work when there is more than one species represented in a photo. I mean, it could really go on both pages. Perhaps an editor can comment.

It can be posted a second time
and we can put one copy on each page. Otherwise we would suggest putting this on a page for cuprea, since we don't have any images of that species yet. -- As a matter of fact, that's what we will do, and if you decide to post a second copy, we can put that on the Comanche page.

How about..
How about some selective cropping? I put them in the ID request since I didn't know where else to put them.

Sorry if thats not the best way but I'm still learning the best ways to use this site.

We moved them to the guide for you.
You can go to the guide page for the species and post your image directly there instead of on ID Request. You'll see an ADD IMAGE tab if you go to Argia cuprea, for example, and click on IMAGES. Add image will appear and you can post your image there the same as you did for ID Request. Try it with the next set of images and see how it works!

genus Argia
Actually, none of these are bluets. They're dancers (genus Argia). There's two species represented here. My current guess is that the more numerous pale blue ones are Comanche Dancers (Argia barretti), and the two in tandem on the right are Coppery Dancers (Argia cuprea). But I'm not that familiar with the Odonata of this portion of the country, so I'd get a second opinion if I were you.

Great shot, Jason
!

Thanks
Thanks Jim.
