I agree...
...with Typocerus balteata. I was very close to that area in late August and collected several individuals of that species on rabbitbrush flowers (Ericameria nauseosa). This one is a little less lightly marked and seems a little less robust (male?) but otherwise matches the specimens I collected pretty well.

Typocerus balteatus group? Could also be Leptura obliterata, but the pronotum is hard to see. I'm thinking the former is a closer guess for this dude.

pattern way too crisp & distinctive for any potential Leptura candidates i see, and the beetle looks too lightly built for a Stenostrophia
