Some sort of hornworm? (sphinx, hawk, hummingbird moth) - Manduca rustica

Some sort of hornworm? (sphinx, hawk, hummingbird moth) - Manduca rustica
Washington Parish Parish, Louisiana, USA
September 3, 2013
Size: 3 to 4 inches
Green with white and greyish purple stripes down back and grey down by its feet. It was found wriggling on the grown with no tomatoes or peppers in sight for it to be a tomato Hornworm.

I believe it's a hornworm of some sort but I can't pinpoint which spiecie it could be. I'm hoping to keep it to moth but I'm interested in which type to know what plant to get as food.

Moved- black speckles
Moved from ID Request.

The black speckling is evidence of parasitoid larvae living within this caterpillar.
