Silverfish

Silverfish
Dixon, Phelps County, Missouri, USA
September 30, 2006
Size: about 3/4 inch
Found in the floor of my kitchen. Have never seen one before in my house, but I had bought some books from a yard sale. I figure that it came from there. I know it's a silverfish, but don't how distinguish between the types. When I looked them up in the guide, there were some that looked very different. Also, is there a way to tell if it's male or female?
