Found at BugSwarm 2013. After Margarethe turned off the lights on her setup, we noticed this guy flashing his lights. I know some other folks got some pix of this, but haven't seen 'em posted up yet. Pretty sure this is ID, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

We seem to remember that Robyn collected
the one that was photographed in the creek at the top of Madera Canyon. Will have to remember to see if she got an ID on that one. Do you know if anyone collected this one from Florida?

Vesperelater arizonicus.
My specimen http://bugguide.net/node/view/816346 from upper Madera Canyon. I relaxed the specimen and looked at the genitalia. Perfect match to the image of aedeagus of V. arizonicus on the guide: http://bugguide.net/node/view/473791

Not sure
if this one was collected, but I expect it was - there were a lot of serious beetle and bug collectors around!

With that info, I moved this one to Pyrophorini. I love this dark picture - reminds me of the Nautilis on 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea :)
