Big Horned Bug - Strategus aloeus

Big Horned Bug - Strategus aloeus
Houson, Harris County, Texas, USA
August 13, 2013
Size: 2 1/2 " Long 1 1/4" Wide
This flying tank was strong as an ox and a slippery as a banana on a tile floor. Some say this is a Rhino Beetle some say an Axiom Beetle, and some say its an Ox beetle, and finally some say its a dung beetle that was brought here to Texas in a shipment of goods from Africa. All I know is it was a pro using its horn. I put it in a paper cup and in about 20 seconds he made a huge hole in it and escaped.
