Lunchtime! - Coelidia olitoria

Lunchtime! - Coelidia olitoria
Herndon, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
September 23, 2006
This hopper appears to have been chowing down on this hydrangea leaf. I looked through 30 pages of hoppers but didn't see one like this. Any ideas?

Moved
Moved from Coelidia olitoria.

Coelidia olitoria floridana
This is the northernmost record of the coastal subspecies (vicinity of Washington, D.C.)!

It is in the guide:-)
I'm almost positive this is a specimen of Coelidia olitoria, just a unique angle in this image of yours.

Aha -
this one does look very much like it:

And is on a similar-looking leaf as well. It was probably on page 31; I just gave up at 30. ;-)
