Bumble Bee on Sidewalk - Bombus terricola? - Bombus terricola

Bumble Bee on Sidewalk - Bombus terricola? - Bombus terricola
Lakewood, Oconto County, Wisconsin, USA
July 25, 2013
This bumble bee was found on the sidewalk outside the Forest Service's Lakewood Ranger Station, near the Native Plant and Pollinator Program's restoraton garden. After a few minutes, the bee flew away. I have a second photo showing a yellowish fringe of hairs on the tip of the abdomen, but that photo is more blurry. Is this Bombus terricola? Thanks so much for your time and help!
