Predacious Diving Beetle? - Hydroporus

Predacious Diving Beetle? - Hydroporus
Shirley, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
October 26, 2006
Size: 3.5mm
Found in a vernal pool.

Moved
Moved from Hydroporinae.

Hydroporus
Setation on the dorsal surface and small size point towards Hydroporus; Laccornis is generally larger (4-5 mm range, though the character in itself is not enough to separate these 2 genera) and is glabrous dorsally.
