not only do they look alot alike,
but M. lakinus and P. nebrascensis often occur together in the same places. This pair looks like M. lakinus (without seeing male genitalia, the best clues include the smaller head and thicker hind femora).

Differential Grasshoppers are about twice as big, and don't have blue hind tibiae.
