Floridian mantis! - Stagmomantis carolina - male

Floridian mantis! - Stagmomantis carolina - Male
Ormond Beach, Volusia County, Florida, USA
September 12, 2013
Three images will be submitted for this single organism. This mantis was photographed in my backyard. Sorry, I don't have a size estimate -- but it wasn't as 'massive' as some of the Carolina mantes I've seen in south Georgia. (How's that for a qualitative mess of a subjective measurement? Heh.) This individual was quite perky and kept hop/flying at me and back to the bushes. Very active, very frisky. I lean toward either a Carolina mantis or a Florida mantis, Stagmomantis carolina or S. floridness, but that's just blind guessing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
