Argiope spider? - Argiope
Sandia, Jim Wells County, Texas, USA
October 5, 2013
Such a distinctive web - an argiope, but would appreciate help on refining ID

Moved
Moved from ID Request. It is either argentata or blanda. If you can please post close-ups of both the dorsal and ventral sides.

argiope ID
thanks for the info, Lynette - if I locate it again next weekend, I'll get more photos from both sides.

argiope ID
