Jagged Ambush Bug on Scale-Broom - Phymata pacifica

On a hot, sunny afternoon, this Jagged Ambush Bug was lurking on Scale-Broom (Lepidospartum squamatum) in coastal sage scrub at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. Might it be Phymata pacifica? Any information will be greatly appreciated!
