Which Mantis Is It? - Stagmomantis carolina - Female
Ringgold, Catoosa County, Georgia, USA
October 8, 2013
My friend found this wonderful Praying Mantis, and we were wondering about an ID. Is it a Carolina? Is it also a gravid female? Thanks.

Yes
To both questions.

Thanks so much!
Thank you. I have never seen a Carolina Mantis before, and I wasn't sure of the ID. I have only ever seen Chinese Mantids in my yard. I will tell my friend. :)
