maybe Horace's Duskywing - Asbolis capucinus

maybe Horace's Duskywing - Asbolis capucinus
Sanibel / Lighthouse, Lee County, Florida, USA
October 6, 2013
Size: 1.25 inch
I'll guess it's a Horace's Duskywing, but I've never ID'd one before, and this is a crummy angle of a shot since it was higher up, and didn't open its wings for a better dorsal view, then got scared off my loud people walking by .... So, I'll take what I can get and will ask for opinions. Any ideas?

Wings appear damaged, A Monk skipper..

Monk Skipper, final answer!
I truly commend your follow thru, and, again am grateful for your willingness to share your insights!

A skipper but not a Duskywing
since they sit with their wings open. In this hard to determine markings and ID and there are numerous skipper species in Fla. so I will leave this one for the experts. If I guessed at an Id based upon the size, the dark brown coloration and apparent lack of HW spots above, maybe Monk skipper.

A solid suggestion - thanks!
I never heard of a Monk Skipper. It's not in my Butterflies of FL field guide by Jaret C. Daniels, so I've looked at other BugGuide photos under Monk Skippers and I can see why you think that's what my photo could be. For such a crummy photo, I commend you for offering help! If any of the "experts" can confirm or explain why not, I'd be very interested. Your time & consideration is appreciated!

You made my day by expressing your appreciation of my effort..
Also, note the long antennae which eliminates others.
