Brown Marmorated Stink Bug - Halyomorpha halys

Brown Marmorated Stink Bug - Halyomorpha halys
Pittsford, Monroe County, New York, USA
October 12, 2013
On the outside of my house, Pittsford, New York - Monroe County. Been seeing these lately. Won't be too long before this invasive species makes the local news, as people find them coming inside their homes in numbers, as they have been doing last few years elsewhere along the east coast. Not many records from western New York yet, but there are certain to be before too long. It is clearly expanding its range at a rapid rate.

Should we be worried?
These are absolutely *everywhere* in Onondaga and Cayuga counties in NY. There have been around 30 a year inside my house alone. Will they outcompete anything native to the area?
