Marsh Pseudoscorpion

Marsh Pseudoscorpion
Huntley Meadows, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
October 13, 2013
I found three of these on the boardwalk through the marsh on a cool overcast day.

Moved
Moved from Pseudoscorpions.

For what it's worth…
Looks like one of Tom Murray's, from a salt marsh.

Oh it does
Thanks. This was a freshwater marsh, but I don't know if they care about such things.

I did notice that
I don't know anything about pseudoscorpion distribution either but you are close to the Potomac and if I'm not mistaken around the end of the tidal portion of the river, so I think it's entirely possible that this is a species that is also found in salt marshes. Of course, this is all guesswork and I could be completely wrong, though I do think your move to Cheliferoidea is probably safe.

Thank you again
Based solely on visual comparisons, it does look pretty much exactly like the one you linked, and not like those in the other superfamily.
