Maroon day-flying moth - Galgula partita - female

Maroon day-flying moth - Galgula partita - Female
Alameda County, California, USA
October 16, 2013
Same size and shape as Orange Mint Moth but differently colored. It lit on the ground and walked around for a few minutes; late afternoon. It's uncommon enough here that I hadn't seen this species before.

Noctuidae: Galgula partita - The Wedgeling (female)
Moved from Moths.
