large bee-like moth - Hemaris diffinis

large bee-like moth - Hemaris diffinis
Highland Haven, Burnet County, Texas, USA
October 17, 2013
This large bee-like moth had bright blue antennae, a very long proboscis, fuzzy-looking body, and beautiful wing veins. However...it wouldn't stay still. So I hope you can ID this gorgeous insect....thanks so much for your time and expertise...Denise K.

Looks like a hummingbird hawk
Looks like a hummingbird hawk moth based on those "tail feathers". Nice translucent wings, though. Interesting!

Hemaris diffinis?
Hemaris sp? Looks like both diffinis and thysbe show up in Texas, and with your central location it could be either... I'm thinking diffinis based on the leg color, but another opinion would be good.
