Mating? Mugging? Munching! - Coenosia

I saw what appeared to be two flies colliding mid-air. Upon reflection, perhaps one was just carrying the other. What's up with this? When they landed, it looked more like lunch.

The meal might be a blow fly, but I have no idea who's on top. Do you?
