H. lenta looks good. The median dorsal stripe is wider on H. carolinensis towards the eye region than it is on H. lenta which tapers. :)

A belated thanks!

Doesn't look like it.
The Hogna carolinensis usually is more tan or grey in coloration. This orange-pink coloration is more like that of the Hogna lenta.

Hogna lenta
When looking at the hogna species, I first thought lenta but then photos of the carolinensis made me doubtful. I'll go with your suggestion. Thank you!

...
Of course, this is judging by the dorsal coloration. A ventral is needed for wolf spiders in order to fully confirm the species. I do understand that you did not get a ventral so my best guess is H. lenta.

Hogna lenta
So do you suggest I place it in the species lenta or leave it in Hogna genus?

Up to You.
I would suggest maybe leaving it in the genus until Laura P. confirms it for me.
