Barklouse - Valenzuela boreus

Barklouse - Valenzuela boreus
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
November 2, 2013

Moved
Moved from Valenzuela.
Thanks Diane. I'll send you the GPS coordinate tonight.

Mockford says:
On basis of color and the area from which it was collected, I am calling it V. boreus, but that is tentative. That whole complex needs to be revised.

I'm sending this specimen to Mockford for confirmation
I key it as Valenzuela boreus but it could be Valenzuela croesus. Mockford says (1) " V. boreus is very close to V. Croesus, the two probably having separated in the fairly recent geologic past by a vicariance event."

Looked at the specimen
still working on it...
