Phidippus ardens - male

Phidippus ardens - Male
Portal, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
While resting in their sacs, Phidippus often 'stretch' as seen here and in linked image. Primarily adult males. Some legs may be outstretched, while others are folded, and chelicerae are often held open. These awkward positions are frequently held for an hour or more, and some change positions several times, as seen in linked image.
This one lasted about 45 minutes before any movement occured.
