Can anyone tell what type of grasshopper this is from the topview?

Meadow Grasshopper?
This looks an awful lot like a male meadow grasshopper or marsh meadow grasshopper (Chorthippus curtipennis), one of the most common of small slantfaced hoppers and one that does well by water (or not). The males are very lively, stridulate a lot, and this year, for some reason, all the ones in my region seem to have unusually luxuriant long antennae with contrasting dark ends, just as in this photo. Despite the textbook illustrations that normally show them as being tan-coloured above with green sides, I find that they're just as likely to be some variant of tan/brown, pink/green, or solid pink, and that the tan/brown ones are sometimes additionally marked with a pretty striped pattern and smudge marks on the front of the face.

Agreed, that's what it is.
