Mites on indoor house plant - Tetranychus urticae

Mites on indoor house plant - Tetranychus urticae
Richardson, Collin County, Texas, USA
November 10, 2013
First Texas record for BugGuide, but I am a fallible amateur, and made this identification based on photographs only. Confirmation from an expert is always appreciated. Tetranychus urticae is known to be in Texas according to Field Guide to Texas Insects (https://insects.tamu.edu/fieldguide/cimg371.html). They are very small, and I could not see them without my 10x magnifier or macro lens.
